JPIA-CMU Places at the 9th PICPA NaQDown-Mindanao Hub
In celebration of the 2016 National Accountancy Week of the Philippines, the 9th PICPA National Accounting Quiz Showdown Mindanao Hub Eliminations was held on July 17, 2016 at Ateneo de Davao University, Davao City.
The competition is attended by over 40 accounting students from different Universities and colleges from all over Mindanao. The regional eliminations were simultaneously conducted at Luzon Hub (SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co., Bldg. 1, Ayala Avenue), Visayas Hub (University of San Carlos, Cebu City), Mindanao Hub (Ateneo de Davao University, Davao City) and NCR Hub (PICPA Head Office, Mandaluyong City). Central Mindanao was proudly represented by Runmen Jan J. Rabago and Jess Charls P. Mojello.
After the preliminary elimination rounds, ten students were qualified for the buzzer (semi-final) round to determine to top five winners who will proceed to the final round. The event ended as Jason Phil Pajarillo from Father Saturnino Urios University was hailed as champion.
NAQDOWN was launched by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) in coordination with National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (NFJPIA).
